The Guernsey Post 94 pence stamp shows Bonamy House, designed for John Collings in 1817. It has been owned by the same family ever since.
Over the years, there have been numerous efforts to acquire the property or portions of it at a knock-down price. These attempts have been chronicled in detail and will be made available on the website: https://stateofguernsey.com as I find the time.
Significantly, all of these attempts share a unifying characteristic: the direct involvement of the civil service in Guernsey. Furthermore, several of these efforts also included the participation of senior politicians, and/or those with close links to them.
Notably, these incidents have fully exploited the lack of transparency and accountability issues that Guernsey faces.
Such exploitation and its implications will be thoroughly explored and presented through documents, transcripts, and other materials on the website.
